Tier 1 (Persons of Exceptional Talent) visa

This scheme is designed to permit non-EEA individuals to work in the UK who have been endorsed as an internationally recognised leader or emerging leader in your field in science, humanities, engineering, medicine, digital technology or the arts

The advantage of the scheme is that the visa is not tied to a specific post, enabling you to be appointed to a post without having to prove that the post cannot be filled by an EEA national (see Tier 2 General below).

The national quota for work permission granted under this programme is 1,000 places a year.

The application to the UKVI is made by you. If you have a Tier 1 visa, or intend to apply for one, please let us know as soon as you receive your offer of appointment.
