This module provides you with the opportunity to engage in a real-world collaborative project on the basis of a brief set by an industry partner from the creative industries.

In this module, you will work in small teams, conducting research and formulating a strategic response to a challenge set by a representative of a creative industries organisation. Leadership, management and collaborative skills will be developed through focused teamwork, while contact with an industry partner will lead to greater awareness and understanding of the types of challenges that creative industry organisations face. The ability to develop innovative and informed solutions as part of a team will help to prepare you for careers in a range of creative industries.
Upon completion of the module, you will be able to:
Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of the key processes associated with project management, including research, scoping, strategy, implementation and marketing.
Understand and respond strategically to the types of real-world challenges that creative industries organisations face.
Work in a collegial manner with team members, drawing collaboratively and strategically on respective capabilities and knowledge.
Demonstrate effective leadership, management, clarity of communication, team-working and problem-solving skills within a project.
Critically evaluate the leadership, management and team-working in the design, planning and execution of the project, drawing lessons for future projects.

Formative assessment embedded in all supervisory meetings where you will rehearse your presentations to the external partner and gain feedback from your supervisor. Supervisor sessions are also designed to provide you with advice/recommendations on your current work on the module.
