Keynote lecture
Graham Gibbs
Graham Gibbs retired as Director of the Oxford Learning Institute, University of Oxford, in 2007, and is currently a Visiting Professor at Oxford Brookes University. He has been writing about the theory and practice of assessment in higher education for 25 years. He is a National Teaching Fellow and has Honorary Doctorates from several universities, including from the University of Utrecht, for his contribution to the development of university teaching worldwide. His current research is concerned with programme-level assessment regimes, with departmental leadership of teaching in research-intensive environments, and with the rationale and operation of teaching award schemes.
