YorSearch (library)
YorSearch is the Library’s catalogue and allows users to interact with its physical and electronic holdings. It also provides you with access to digitised content, such as exam papers, and allows you to manage your library accounts.
YorSearch uses the Primo software platform.
Key features
- Web-based, with regular updates.
- Supports integrations with other systems, for example, importing user records from external systems, loaning and returning items via self-service.
- Integrated with the library management system, Alma.
- Harvests data from the White Rose repositories and the Borthwick catalogue.
Available to students and staff (restrictions apply)
Login and requesting functionality is only available to registered users. Access to back office functions is only available to Library systems staff. Staff, students and members of the public can use this service (subject to certain access restrictions).

- They are responsible for monitoring, identifying and fixing faults. We provide advice and support for local issues during our opening hours.
- Support is available via Ex Libris (exlibrisgroup.com) and the Library.

- Our service performance and standards have been produced in consultation with our customers, and we monitor the delivery, performance and availability of facilities and services.
