Revision and version control
Revision and version control is used to manage changes to documents, computer programs, websites, and other collections of information. Use it to revert files to previous versions.
We use the GitHub Enterprise platform for code version control.

- Revisions to files can be compared, restored, and with some types of files, merged.
- Track your collaborator's edits and correct mistakes.
Access instructions
- Staff should contact their Department Computing Officer (DCO), who will contact IT Services on your behalf.
- Student societies should contact IT Services directly.
Available to students and staff (restrictions apply)
Authorised users can use this service on University-managed and personal devices.
App and web-based
Compatible with Windows, Mac and Linux. This service also works in your web browser.
