ONS research data access
The University has an organisational agreement with the Office for National Statistics (ONS) for Assured Organisational Connectivity (AOC).
The AOC allows our Accredited Researchers (ARs) to directly access ONS research data using their services:
- Secure Research Service (SRS) (ons.gov.uk)
- Integrated Data Service (IDS) (ons.gov.uk)
Key features
- Form approvals: If you're an Accredited Researcher and want to access an ONS service at the University, we can approve your Accredited Researcher Assurance Registration (ARAR) form.
- Access confidential research data, from a secure room or from the SafePod in the library.
- Secure room registration: We can register secure rooms, where an ONS Accredited Researchers (AR) can access ONS services.
- Security assured: Our network and security measures meet the ONS' required standards for data protection.
