Mobile phones and wifi plans

Mobile phones and wifi plans are available for staff who require one for business use. 

If you have a student facing hardship, departments can fund mobile wifi for students.

Key features

  • Plans are provided via Vodafone Corporate.
  • They are offered as monthly rolling or fixed-term contract lengths.
  • Range of data options available, including only calls and texts, or only mobile wifi.
  • Apple, Samsung and other devices are available, in a range of specs and colours.

 

Available to staff

This service is available to staff with a valid business case.

Funded by departments

Departments fund this service, subject to approval. There isn’t a cost to you for authorised use. You'll be responsible for unauthorised charges, eg for calls that aren’t included in your plan.

Devices and accessories

You can choose from a range of phones, including iPhone, Samsung and Nokia, MiFi devices, and accessories.

Plans

You can choose from a range of contract lengths and data bundles. Charges outside of your plan apply.

Upgrades

You can upgrade your device whenever you like.

  1. Get the appropriate approval from your line manager or budget holder.
  2. Select a new device (and any required accessories).
  3. Complete our upgrade form.

Short-term contracts and temporary loans

We can provide pay-as-you-go and 30-day connections. Alternatively, we can sometimes supply devices for short-term hire (subject to availability). For more information, please contact Unified Communications.

Temporary mobile data increase

You can apply to temporarily increase your data allowance

Cancelling your mobile connection

If it's no longer needed, you can request to cancel your mobile connection.
