MathType
MathType allows you to create mathematical and scientific equations, formulas and more.
The editor interface is similar to the interface for adding maths on our main virtual learning environment, Learn VLE. Used within Microsoft Word, it can convert equations typed with the Microsoft Maths Editor into MathType equations and produce outputs in several formats.

Access instructions
- A limited number of MathType licences are available to staff. You should only sign up for a licence if you regularly produce Maths in Word and PowerPoint. Request a MathType licence.
- You can also access MathType through the virtual desktop service (VDS).
