LabVIEW
LabVIEW (Laboratory Virtual Instrument Engineering Workbench) is a system-design platform and development environment from National Instruments (NI) for a visual programming language.
It's used in engineering, physics, and other scientific research and development fields for automating measurements, data acquisition, and instrument control.

- Integrates with a wide range of data acquisition (DAQ) hardware from National Instruments and other vendors.

Access instructions
- LabVIEW is installed on PCs in P/T/212 and the spill out area in P/T/201, and are exclusively available to Physics students.
- For University-managed devices in the Departments of Biology and Chemistry, and the School of Physics, Engineering and Technology, you can install LabVIEW from the Software Center (Windows) and Self Service (Mac).
- For other devices, you will need to download the software and create a National Instruments account (ni.com) using your York email address and password.
Available to staff and students in the Faculty of Sciences
Faculty of Sciences staff and students can use this software on University-managed and personal devices.

Compatible with Windows, Mac and Linux.

Departments fund this service, subject to approval. There isn't a cost to you for standard use.
