Kinetics
Kinetics is a system used for managing residential bookings, events and catering. It's used by the Conference team to manage events with the various support teams within the University and by the Student Accommodation team to manage student residential room bookings.
Key features
- Central resource for all facilities teams to view their roles during conference events (catering, cleaning, AV, IT, etc).
- Cleaning can use the system to set residential room statuses (clean, to-be-cleaned).
- Manage catering bookings.
- Manage conference accommodation.
- Manage student accommodation.
- Allows self-service student accommodation booking.
Access instructions
- Access is requested via the Authorised Systems Registration tool, go to the Other tab and select Kinetics Hospitality.
- Once access is approved, you can install the Kinetics shortcuts on a managed desktop running Windows via the Software Center.
- If you’re not on campus or connected to eduroam, you need a virtual private network (VPN) connection.
- For other devices, you can access it through the virtual desktop service (VDS).
Available to students and staff (restrictions apply)
Client/back office system is available to staff. Student applicants can use the accommodation application to apply for accommodation.
Web-based
Client/back office system requires Windows. Student accommodation application is web-based.
