Grackle Docs (accessibility checker)
Grackle Docs is a University approved extension to Google Workspace. It is an accessibility checker that enables you to run accessibility checks on work produced in Google Docs, Google Slides and Google Sheets.

- Runs accessibility checks and opens a sidebar, highlighting any accessibility issues, which you can then correct.
- Used to check the accessibility of work produced in Google Docs, Google Slides and Google Sheets.
Access instructions
To launch Grackle Docs:
- Open Google Docs, Google Slides or Google Sheets.
- Sign in with your University email address and password.
- Select the Extensions tab.
- Select Grackle Docs from the drop down menu. It will open in a sidebar and run the accessibility check.
Available to staff and students
You can use this service when logged into Google Workspace with your University account.
Web-based
This service works in Google Workspace via your web browser.
Funded by the University
There isn’t a cost to you for standard use.
Access instructions
