Firefox

Firefox is a free and open-source web browser developed by Mozilla.

It’s an alternative to the University’s default browser, Google Chrome. 

Key features

  • Supports a wide range of extensions and add-ons for personalised browsing.
  • Sync bookmarks, passwords, history and open tabs across multiple devices.
  • Tab Management includes features like tab grouping and the ability to search through open tabs.
  • VoiceOver Compatibility works with screen readers and other assistive technologies.
  • A mobile app is available from the Apple App Store and Google Play.

  • For other University managed devices running Windows, you can install Firefox from the Software Center.
  • For other devices, you can install Firefox via Mozilla (mozilla.org).
