York e-Purchase

York e-Purchase (YEP) is used to create purchase orders for many day-to-day purchasing requirements. This includes most goods and services with the exception of utilities, travel and expenses (see alternative purchasing systems below).

It’s used by staff in all departments. It’s a purchasing module based in the University’s finance system, Agresso.

Key features

  • Browse items from various suppliers in the catalogue.
  • Order from major suppliers including Stone and Academia.
  • Raise free-format requisitions or generate orders through the catalogue ("punch-out" service - advanced).
  • Receive invoices and goods receipt orders.
  • Approve requisitions.

Authorised users can use this service on devices connected to the University network or VPN.

Funded by the University

This system is hosted on site with unrestricted users. This is likely to change to a set number of licences in the near future.

  • University Purchase Card: for orders typically below £5,000 and with suppliers who will be used infrequently or as a one-off.
  • Amazon Business: offers cheaper prices than the normal Amazon site as well as Business Prime next day delivery.
  • Online Store: sell products, short courses or services online.
