Accessing the apprenticeship levy as an employee of the University
Finding the right training provider
Once you have selected the right Standard, you need to find the right training provider. We can only accept a training provider who is approved on the Register of Apprenticeship Training Providers (RoATP).
You can browse training providers here (training providers found via this link are all RoATP-approved)
Training providers differ in how they deliver the learning: some will only use day- or block-release, others will offer a more flexible programme at your workplace. You may need to select the training provider based on their method of delivery to ensure you meet the needs of the wider team.
You can also see how other employers have rated them, as well as programme completion and pass rates.
The Staff Apprenticeships Team will have final approval of the training provider.
Overall, it is important to find a provider who:
- Fits in with your preferred learning style
- Is clear about how much of the off-the-job time they are delivering
- Deliver the programme in a way that meets the needs of your team
- Offers a quality programme with good achievement rates
