Accessing the apprenticeship levy as an employee of the University
Eligibility
Your eligibility replies upon:
- Having the agreement and support of your manager
- selecting an apprenticeship standard that is directly relevant to your existing role
- not already possessing a qualification in the same subject as the apprenticeship at the same or a higher level
- spending at least 50% of your working hours in England over the duration of the apprenticeship
- being employed with a contract of employment that covers the length of your programme (including the end-point assessment)
- possessing or being willing to obtain (with the training provider) Level 2 qualifications in Maths and English
If you work for less than 30 hours a week, you can still access a programme but will need to learn with a training provider that can offer an accessible and flexible delivery method.
