- HR and Staff Apprenticeship Team respond to queries regarding apprenticeship vacancy
- Manager confirms pay point on the Apprentices' Pay Scale
- Manager raises VRF
- Normal recruitment practices followed but in addition HR Services sends Staff Apprenticeships a copy of job template
- Staff Apprenticeships and Manager select training provider
- HR advertise apprenticeship on the University of York job pages, along with all other vacancies
- Staff Apprenticeships enables training provider to advertise position via National Apprenticeship Service
- Selection takes place
- HR issues Statement of Main Terms and Conditions of Employment for Apprentices
- Apprentice presents Right to Work documents
- Apprentice completes training provider's application form
- Training provider interviews preferred candidate
- If apprentice is under 25, Payroll notes NI redemption
- Staff Apprenticeships Team inputs apprentice details onto DAS (online portal)
- Training provider issues Training Contract to Staff Apprenticeships Team
- Staff Apprenticeships Team signs Training Contract on behalf of University
- Apprentice starts work and commences training programme
- Monthly payments to training provider commence
- Training provider issues Training Plan
- Apprentice and Staff Apprenticeships Team co-sign Training Plan
- Training Provider issues Apprentice Agreement to apprentice
- Apprentice and Staff Apprenticeships Team co-sign Apprenticeship Agreement
- Staff Apprenticeships Team receives and sends Apprenticeship Agreement to HR Services
- HR Services upload the Apprenticeship Agreement onto Resource Link
