Silver Athena Swan awards for Arts and Humanities

Congratulations to the Departments of English and Related Literature and Archaeology on achieving their new Silver Athena Swan awards.

Athena Swan awards are granted to departments upholding the AdvanceHE Athena Swan Gender Equality Charter principles.

These awards demonstrate the progress and advancement in the gender equality culture in the Faculty of Arts and Humanities.

Duncan Petrie, Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities, said: "Heartfelt congratulations are due to the departments of Archaeology and English and Related Literature for the fantastic efforts that have won each of them an Athena Swan Silver Award.

"These achievements are inspirational and a testament to how the principles of equality, diversity and inclusion increasingly underpin the culture and everyday operations within the Faculty of Arts and Humanities."
