Six new York Unlimited Mental Health Nursing Scholarships funded by Mentally Fit York
Posted on 24 February 2021
Thanks to our generous donors to the Mentally Fit York fund, six more undergraduate mental health nursing students have been awarded the York Unlimited Mental Health Nursing Scholarship this term. This is the highest number of these awards we have been able to make so far in a single academic year.
These scholarships are awarded based on financial need, and they give the students an award of £2,000 towards their living costs to help ease any financial worries they may have during their studies and to help them focus on their training.
Thanks to donations from our community of alumni and friends we are able to support the training of the next generation of mental health nurses, who play a vital role in delivering frontline support and care to those facing mental illness both in hospital and in the community.
“I was surprised and delighted to receive this scholarship, which will allow me to continue my course without financial worries. I am so grateful for the generosity of York’s alumni and friends, which is supporting me during these uncertain times,” Peter, York Unlimited Mental Health Nursing Scholarship recipient.
