The Walk
The 31 May 2020 was set to be epic. In a world without coronavirus, hundreds of participants were set to take on The Great York Walk and raise upwards of £50,000 in Mentally Fit York’s flagship fundraising event.
But if mental health is a cause close to your heart as the social ramifications of coronavirus become more clear, you can still play your part by taking on The Short York Walk.
Mentally Fit York supports on the ground initiatives to improve mental health across the City of York and beyond, as well as the latest groundbreaking mental health research.
Wherever you are in the world, walk 25 miles over 7, 14 or 25 days from 31 May and make a difference to mental health in York and beyond.

The Great York Walk has sadly had to be cancelled this year, but we are really pleased to introduce our brand new event, The Short York Walk. We hope this version of the event will encourage all of our walkers and members of their households to take on their own challenge in order to help us create a Mentally Fit York, even at the most testing of times.
