YESI Knowledge Exchange Fellows - Call Open
YESI is delighted to launch the second phase of its Fellows programme for 2022-2023, with investment from the University’s Environmental Sustainability at York (ESAY) initiative. This internal call is focused on supporting Knowledge Exchange activities.
This year, projects under the YESI Knowledge Exchange Fellows scheme will take the form of teams of researchers undertaking knowledge exchange activities with end users in the field of environmental sustainability, and aligned with one or more of the YESI themes (Environment & Health; Resilient Ecosystems; Food, Water & Waste).
Projects may explore new connections to support future co-design of research, or may build on engagement with existing research partners. Teams should involve York researchers from more than one discipline and at least one external organisation.
Key Criteria for assessment
- Does the project address an environmental sustainability topic that maps onto one or more of the YESI Themes?
- What is the desired knowledge exchange outcome and are the benefits and beneficiaries clearly articulated?
- Will the activities drive further opportunities for knowledge exchange?
- Are the resources requested and methods employed appropriate for delivery of the project?
Projects will be assessed according to the above criteria, with the panel taking a portfolio approach to the final awards to ensure that we fund a variety of knowledge exchange projects across different areas of environmental sustainability, disciplines, types of partners and led by PIs of different career stages.
