Environment, resilience and justice: Workshops to explore barriers, pathways to success and next potential steps
Event details
Organised by the University of York (UK, York Environmental Sustainability Institute - YESI) in collaboration with WUN partners Mahidol University (Thailand) and Makerere University (Uganda), we are putting together a series of three two-hour online sessions focusing on the nexus of resilience and justice in the interdisciplinary environmental sustainability space.
Given anthropogenic environmental degradation and biodiversity loss, discovering ways to promote resilience, sustainability and justice to promote nature and its varied contributions to people is of key importance for the future of people and the planet.
The sessions, respectively, will focus on barriers and pathways to success, and finally on next steps in terms of facilitating collaborations for grant opportunities such as Horizon Europe and UKRI’s Building a Greener Future focus.
The two-hour sessions will be held on:
- Weds 21 May
- Tuesday 27 May
- Mon 9 June
Always 9-11 am UK time/11 am-1 pm Uganda/3-5 pm Thailand)
These sessions will be held online on Zoom. An in-person option may be available for York attendees at York if there is enough interest.
