YESI Sustainable Food Research Theme Network Meeting
Event details
Join YESI and help us develop our new five year strategy!
YESI is hosting three workshops in February for researchers interested in shaping the direction of its Research Themes: Sustainable Food, Resilient Ecosystems and Environment and Health.
These workshops are a chance for researchers from across the York community to discuss emerging issues and to identify future research priorities, help meet and shape the focus of the YESI themes and to develop networks to support future interdisciplinary collaboration.
These workshops are open to all staff and PhD students currently interested in working in these broad areas at York.
YESI Sustainable Food Research Theme Network Meeting
This workshop will bring together established theme members and researchers who are either relatively new to York or have not yet had the opportunity to get involved with the theme.
During the workshop, there will be an opportunity to find out more about existing research projects and partnerships and to discuss emerging research priorities, funding opportunities and ideas for other future collaborative activities to broaden and deepen interdisciplinary food systems research at york. With a keynote from Prof Guy Poppy, former CSAO, Food Standards Agency and Director of Transforming the UK food system for healthy people and a healthy environment programme.
The Sustainable Food research theme is a genuinely open forum, accessible to all members of the University of York. We would especially welcome the participation of early-career researchers (including PhD students) as well as more established researchers who have not previously engaged with YESI.
