Event details

SFN+ is organising its 5th Annual Conference on 3-4 July 2023 in York, UK. With the theme of 'Innovations for Smart, Sustainable, and Safe Food Systems', we are inviting leading interdisciplinary researchers working on food systems, physics, data science or technology, industry experts and policy-makers to join us at our conference, where we will showcase the success of our funded research projects, present the latest knowledge exchange initiatives of our recently launched expert working groups, and provide networking opportunities.

On Monday 3 July, we will host our conference in the Oak Room, Principal York Hotel, where SFN+ funded researchers will present their high-impact projects. There will also be a private drinks & dinner reception (by invite only) in the evening.

On Tuesday 4 July, we will host our conference at the Lakehouse, Heslington East Campus, at the University of York, where members from the SFN+ Expert Working Groups will present their knowledge exchange initiatives. Representatives from funding bodies will introduce upcoming funding opportunities.

This is a hybrid event. Participants can join the conference either in person or online.

Registration

In person - if you are interested in joining the annual conference in person, please fill out the order form to register your interest by Wednesday 31 May 2023. We will be in touch via email by Wednesday 7 June 2023 to let you know the process for completing the in-person registration.

Online - if you are interested in joining the annual conference online, please fill out the order form to register your interest by Friday 16 June 2023. We will send you a confirmation email with the Zoom link by Friday 23 June 2023.

Please note that completing the registration form DOES NOT guarantee you a ticket to join the conference. Your registration should only be considered successful when you receive a confirmation email by 7 June 2023 (for participants joining in person) or 23 June 2023 (for online participants) sent from stfcfoodnetwork@york.ac.uk.
