She is currently a first year PhD student at the Centre for Women's Studies. She received her master's degree in Anthropology from Durham University in 2020. Supported by China Scholarship Council – UoY joint scholarship, her doctoral research investigates the transformation of traditional postpartum care practices and women’s subjectivity in contemporary China. She is an associate editor on the editorial board for CWS-based journal Cultivate. She considered herself very lucky to be learning and working in a loving and caring academic community.
