This year’s Sisterhood in Action, which took place on March 8th, International Women’s Day, also marked 40 years of CWS. 2024 is a very special year for the Centre for Women’s Studies, and the SiA conference was a beautiful moment to begin to celebrate our community full of sisters of all genders.

Dr Rachel Alsop, Director of the Centre for Women's Studies, together with Professor Henrice Altink from the Department of History at the University of York and colleagues from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in Kumasi, Ghana led a three-day workshop with Early Career Researchers (ECRs) on how to get interdisciplinary research funded and published.
