Urban Studies Foundation- Knowledge Mobilization Award

Asha Abeyasekera was awarded a Knowledge Mobilization Award (KMA) from the Urban Studies Foundation (USF) to build a community manifesto on housing and urban planning with poor working-class communities in Central Colombo.

Photofantasy Exhibition & Curatorial Essay

WRoCAH-funded CWS doctoral candidate, Lizzie Merrill curated and organised Photofantasy, an exhibition showcasing the groundbreaking works of artist Jo Spence alongside the contributions of 6 other art makers inspired by her practice.

Workshop Promoting Interdisciplinary Research and Publication

Dr Rachel Alsop, Director of the Centre for Women's Studies, together with Professor Henrice Altink from the Department of History at the University of York and colleagues from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in Kumasi, Ghana led a three-day workshop with Early Career Researchers (ECRs) on how to get interdisciplinary research funded and published.
