Wednesday 20 October 2021, 1.30PM
Speaker(s): Dr Clare Bielby
This will be an opportunity to get the inside scoop on how to go about applying for a PhD at CWS, elsewhere at the University of York, and more widely: it will include advice on the application process, funding, writing a research proposal, and space for all and any questions that you may have.
If you are already considering applying for a PhD, either at York or elsewhere in the UK, you will know that the big funding applications are about to open in the autumn and the deadlines are towards the end of this year/ early in the new year. So, if you are considering applying for a PhD for a September 2022 entry, this is a perfect time to get thinking and working on your PhD research ideas and applications. The workshop slides will be made available on the CWS student intranet afterwards, but if you have any questions about the workshop, please feel free to contact Clare at clare.bielby@york.ac.uk.
Location: CWS students and staff should be able to see this event (with the Zoom link inside) on their Google Calendar timetable. If you're unable to see or access the session, please email (cws@york.ac.uk)
