Postgraduate campus tours

Join us on Wednesday 4 September 2024 for our next postgraduate campus tour.

Book your place

Postgraduate campus tours are a great way to see for yourself what it would be like to live and study here.

Our postgraduate campus tours are led by current postgraduate students, so you'll get a first-hand perspective of what it's like to live and study at York.

If you're unable to attend our in-person campus tour, there are a number of other ways that you can find out what it's like to be a postgraduate student at York, from online open days, to student-led chats.

You can also sign up for event updates, to be notified of future events when they are announced.

What to expect

Before the day

Once you've booked your place, we will send you a confirmation email with further details and directions closer to the date of the tour you have chosen.

If you want to visit a specific department or speak to a particular member of staff, you should contact them directly in advance of your visit to arrange this.

When you arrive

Please head to the covered area at James College, between the Campus South and Campus West car parks, just before 1pm, to register with our postgraduate student ambassadors.

Use our campus map or Google Maps to help you find this location.

The tour

A postgraduate student ambassador will show you around Campus West and Campus East.

You'll get to see most of the academic buildings, postgraduate spaces and facilities and have the opportunity to ask questions about postgraduate life at York. The tour does not include a visit to King's Manor. If you are interested in seeing this side of the city campus, please arrange this directly with the departments based there.
