The Centre for Modern Studies is a vibrant interdisciplinary research centre, dedicated to study of the period from 1830 to the present. We offer a postgraduate taught Masters course that offers a unique opportunity to work across arts and humanities subjects.
We also fund and provide a home for several ongoing research strands, as well as small research projects, individual events, reading groups, and a postgraduate forum. Any staff or students working on modern and contemporary research are welcome to get in touch to discuss ways CModS can support your interdisciplinary research or help connect with scholars across departments and disciplines.
