Establishing, growing and developing the University of York International Pathway College.
Education leadership and management, with a particular focus on teaching and the (International) student experience; Promotion of STEM; Biotechnology
I have previously acted as an External Examiner for the University of Nottingham and Queen's University Belfast. I also have experience as a School Governor, particularly in the areas of Finance and Project Management.
The International Pathway College (IPC) is a department of the University which provides a range of courses for International students, who wish to progress onto undergraduate and postgraduate degree courses. The IPC was established in 2016 to provide International students access to the transformational educational opportunities here at the University. I have substantial experience of establishing, leading and marketing programmes, in a broad range of disciplines, at Postgraduate, Undergraduate, Foundation and A-level, including at the Public:Private sector interface. Prior to moving in to Academic Leadership, my research interests were in the application of Biotechnology to support the sustainable development of temperate and tropical crops. I remain a keen proponent of STEM and their contribution to society.
