As Academic Director I oversee the academic management of the programmes that are offered by the International Pathway College to ensure that students have an excellent learning experience that prepares them for university study. Coming to study in a new country can be quite challenging, and at the International Pathway College we aim to deliver a supportive and inspirational experience to help students get the best out of their time at the University of York.
My academic interests include teacher training, feedback processes, and learner autonomy.

Previously I was Pre-sessional Programme Leader in the department and I oversaw the development of new and existing courses, from creating assessment through to administrative tasks such as timetabling and supporting tutors in delivering courses to students. Prior to working at the University of York, I was responsible for the Pre-Sessional and In-sessional Programmes at Manchester Metropolitan University and worked as a Senior Teacher at Newcastle University. I have also lived and taught in China, Vietnam and Thailand.
