Being a Student Ambassador helps you develop the following skills:

  • Communication - talking to a range of people on a one-to-one basis or to large groups
  • Team work - co-ordinating your work with other Ambassadors and University staff
  • Social and cultural awareness - meeting and working with people from a range of backgrounds
  • Problem solving/using your initiative - you may face unexpected challenges, which require you to change your approach. These incidents may also require resilience, persistence, tact, creativity and innovation.

Visit the Develop your skills pages for more information.
