Are you:
- Confident, friendly and articulate?
- Empathetic?
- Resilient and a team player?
- Passionate in supporting York students in need to get the most out of their time at University?
- Looking for a unique and exciting way to develop your professional skills?
Working as a Student Fundraiser is a really worthwhile experience. Not only does it provide you with skills that can benefit future career prospects, such as developing communication and negotiation skills, but it can make a big difference to your University experience.
What's involved?
You will be engaging with University of York alumni over the phone – finding out what they’ve been doing since graduating, updating them about changes to the University and most importantly, seeking support for various charitable funds at the University.
As a student fundraiser, you'll benefit from:
- 6 to 10 hours of work per week during our campaigns: these take place during semester time, evenings and weekends (Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Wednesdays or Sundays)
- £13.03 per hour (plus 12.07% holiday pay)
- Full training and ongoing professional development support
- An encouraging and friendly working environment
- Transferable skills across communications and fundraising, giving your CV a competitive edge
- Role satisfaction – you will be helping to provide scholarships and support to students in need at York
"The opportunity to enhance your own university experience through the fun and exciting nature of YuCall whilst making friends, building your CV, and having a positive impact on the wider University, is not one to miss out on!” Rhianna, YuCall Supervisor and Fundraiser
