Cars and parking

While we understand the need for people to drive to, and park at the University, we encourage staff, students and visitors to consider other means of transport where possible; to reduce air pollution and carbon emissions and make our campus and your journey more sustainable.

If you wish to park on campus, you will need to have a valid parking permit (purchased from the online parking permit system) or you will need to buy a pay and display ticket.

Temporary closure of Church Lane Building (and EV bays) - 17 December

Due to essential work by Northern Powergrid, there will be a full power outage at the Church Lane Building on Tuesday 17 December. As a result, the building will be closed for the day. EV charging points in the Church Lane car park will also be unavailable. We anticipate the power will be restored to both the building and the charging bays by the following day. Keep up to date.
