IMPORTANT: Stop hackers gaining access to your University account
We have been made aware by other universities of attempts by hackers to gain access to University accounts through two-factor authentication (2FA) systems. The fraudsters’ email claims to be from the HR department and asks recipients to login with their username, password and to complete 2FA with a one-time passcode. The best way to avoid a fraud attempt is to use the Duo app to approve authentication rather than a one-time passcode. Read about the scam and changes we’re making to Duo.Need individual exam arrangements?
If you need individual exam arrangements for the August resit period, email evidence to disabilityservices@york.ac.uk by Friday 24 May.Come to CultureFest
Tomorrow (8 May), Black Access is proud to present CultureFest, which this year is a celebration of African and Caribbean culture. There will be music, food and stalls in the piazza near York Law School between 3-7pm - come on down!
Last September, we launched Check-In, a tool to help us identify students who may need additional support. We would now like to hear of your experiences with Check-In as we look to set priorities and make improvements with the system and the processes that sit around it. Please complete our student Check-In survey to let us know what you think and for the chance to enter our £20 voucher prize draw.
