2. Save time and effort when formatting your dissertation

Save time and effort when crafting your dissertation by using features in Microsoft Word. Come to the online Microsoft Word for dissertations and theses session on 25 July to delve into methods for using Word that are crucial for efficiently producing material that meets academic standards. (Note, you may need to log in to Target Connect before accessing the session booking link).

3. Dissertation stressing you out?

Talking can help: Book a one-to-one appointment with a Study Coach to discuss your progress, challenges and concerns. The coach will listen carefully, without judgement, and help you focus on the next best steps for you. Remember, you can also download the TalkCampus app to talk with other students around the world facing similar challenges to you.

4. What happens after your degree?

Do you have a plan for what happens after you complete your degree? Don’t forget that Careers and Placements are open over the summer (10am until 4pm, Monday to Thursday). Online or in-person advice appointments are available to book via Handshake and you can also message the Careers information team via Handshake, too.

5. Update on University finances

UK funding for higher education continues to be very challenging, and like many other universities, we continue to face increasing costs. Recently we updated staff on the University's latest financial forecast and next steps. Find out more information on what this means for staff and students.
