First Bus summer service changes
Buses servicing campus have now moved to a summer bus timetable until the start of the new academic year in September.

1. Handling data or running statistical analyses?

Whether you're tackling a data analysis for your dissertation or keen to boost your analytical skills, the Maths Skills Centre has you covered. Hone your skills in the following workshops:

If you have a query you would like to discuss with a statistics tutor, book a one-to-one appointment for personalised guidance on statistics, or check out our Maths Skills Centre online resources. If you can't find a suitable time, email maths-skills-centre@york.ac.uk with your availability and we will arrange an appointment at a time that works for you.

2. Summer wellbeing: enter our photography competition

Connecting with nature has many benefits, including reducing anxiety, getting better sleep and improving concentration. To encourage you to get out and about, we are holding a summer photography competition. You could win a signed copy of the award-winning nature memoir 'The Flow' by Amy Jane Beer, plus a £25 Amazon voucher. We’ll also use the best photos (fully credited) in student support areas to provide a welcoming atmosphere for students seeking help.

3. We need you! Help guide our work on student wellbeing

Researchers in Health Sciences are aiming to develop a strategy that will make it easier for students to access relevant support for their wellbeing. They are looking for workshop participants to give their feedback on ideas from their research. Each participant will receive a £25 shopping voucher for each workshop they attend. Find out how you can take part in our wellbeing research.

4. How good is your CV?

Apply for the York Award to receive recognition for achievements and activities completed at York that have shaped your development and successes. It is a great addition to your CV, providing practice for creating a good job application that evidences skills and strengths. Registration deadline: 30 July. Apply for the York Award.

5. Get creative in the Digital Labs

Get to know the Digital Labs in the Library this summer. Explore the virtual reality (VR) equipment, try out the 3D printers or have a go at podcasting. Induction sessions and support continue through the summer, and the labs are open to all students.
