Reception changes - Ron Cooke Hub and Alcuin
- The Ron Cooke Hub reception has reopened, following its temporary relocation to the Law and Sociology Building. It will operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
- Alcuin Reception will temporarily close for the summer, starting Monday 15 July.
First Bus summer service changes
Buses servicing campus have now moved to a summer bus timetable until the start of the new academic year in September.

Connecting with nature has many benefits, including reducing anxiety, getting better sleep and improving concentration. To encourage you to get out and about, we are holding a summer photography competition. You could win a signed copy of the award-winning nature memoir 'The Flow' by Amy Jane Beer, plus a £25 Amazon voucher. We’ll also use the best photos (fully credited) in student support areas to provide a welcoming atmosphere for students seeking help.
Researchers in Health Sciences are aiming to develop a strategy that will make it easier for students to access relevant support for their wellbeing. They are looking for workshop participants to give their feedback on ideas from their research. Each participant will receive a £25 shopping voucher for each workshop they attend. Apply for the York Award to receive recognition for achievements and activities completed at York that have shaped your development and successes. Get to know the Digital Labs in the Library this summer. Explore the virtual reality (VR) equipment, try out the 3D printers or have a go at podcasting. Induction sessions and support continue through the summer, and the labs are open to all students.
