Local elections: you will need voter ID to vote in person
Local elections are taking place on Thursday 4 May and, for the first time, you'll need to take photo ID to vote in person. See which forms of voter ID are accepted at polling stations or find out how you can vote by post. Students can vote in local elections with both a ‘home’ and university address - you must register to vote by Monday 17 April.Coming soon: International Women's Day - Be the Face of Your Story

The Security Services team has been renamed the Campus Safety team and are in a new location in Market Square. The new Campus Safety Hub is open 24/7, 365 days a year. The team is your first response for any security or safety issues. They are trained in first aid and mental health first aid. Contact the Campus Safety team via SafeZone, by phone or in person.
The University is moving from terms to semesters in 2023/24. It means the academic year will start and finish earlier and there will be changes to breaks and vacation dates. Would you like to teach English to speakers of other languages? Join our CertTESOL programme, a 5-week course accredited by Trinity College London. The course will run over the summer and you’ll gain the skills and knowledge to begin your English language teaching journey. Applications close on Friday 10 March. Find out more about CertTESOL.

In our interactive workshop on Tuesday 7 March we discuss and practise some of the delivery skills needed to stand by an academic poster and communicate your work to an audience.
