Arrangements for Spring Term 2021
Following the new national lockdown, and to offer some level of stability to our students, we have made the very difficult decision that all classroom-based teaching activity will be delivered online for the entirety of the Spring Term.
Support to get reliable internet access
We are launching a service to help students living off campus with poor internet connectivity.
Self-isolation payments
If you’re a full-time student, living in York, and will lose income because of having to self-isolate, you can apply for a payment from York’s Public Health Covid Outbreak Management Fund.

Learn a language at a relaxed pace with a discounted Languages For All short course. A variety of languages are on offer with options for beginners through to advanced learners, including Chinese for Intercultural Understanding, Italian Conversation and Culture, and Polish for Everyday Communication. Take a look at the Postgraduate Career Journey to find out how you can develop your skills, strengths and leadership qualities.
