Module summary
This module enables students to apply skills and methods learned through earlier course modules in an extended project of their choosing (in agreement with their supervisor) directly related to their chosen specialism.

Module aims
To provide the student with the full experience of an independent project directly related to their chosen specialism from research, design specification, development, production, analysis and refinement to report writing and public presentation.
Module learning outcomes
Through completion of this module, students are expected to be able to:
define project specifications with clear technical, creative and/or story objectives as relevant to their specialism.
develop and maintain suitable timescales for project completion with an understanding of optimising workflow and project management as appropriate to their specialism.
demonstrate an understanding for and application of production and/or postproduction processes and/or technologies related to their specialism as well as to look into innovation and pushing the boundaries of current practices.
work independently as well as liaise with colleagues as required to fulfil project requirements. develop and enhance facility with hardware and/or software systems related to their specialism as needed for project creation.
further develop report writing, reflective critical analysis and skills in a formal context as part of the final assessment process.
