The module aims to:
Equip you with a set of business skills as they apply to working practices in creative and cultural environments.
Gain knowledge and understanding of entrepreneurship; management; and audience development and engagement.
Develop an individualised style of decision-making and problem-solving based on a comprehensive knowledge of key management and team-working techniques.
Module learning outcomes
By the end of the module, you should be able:
To demonstrate a detailed understanding and critical knowledge of business management skills in the creative and cultural industries
To be able to apply knowledge and understanding of business skills to practical case studies to a wide range of creative and cultural industries environments: the visual arts, museums and heritage, fashion, advertising, design, film, music, theatre, television and interactive digital media.
To combine critical thinking with applied learning to develop their own individual style of decision-making and problem-solving skills in creative and cultural environments.
