Module aims

The aim of this module is for students to carry out and write up an original piece of research working closely under the supervision of a member of academic staff.

Module learning outcomes

  • Show the ability to develop an idea in psychology that is interesting and capable of study experimentally.
  • Demonstrate an ability to design and carry out the study in a scientifically satisfactory manner
  • Use appropriate statistical and analytical techniques
  • Be able to write a concise scientific report of the study
