This module supports your development as a researcher by giving you the opportunity to complete a substantial written project of your own choosing.
By the end of this module, you should:
have a wide knowledge of written and sounding materials and other research tools as appropriate to your areas of interest;
be using those tools with assurance;
have gained a wide experience of previous and current work relevant to your new or expanded research areas;
have wide experience in applying to your research findings a larger range of critical tools drawn from musicology and related disciplines as appropriate;
know how to contextualize, critically assess and articulate their findings in a sophisticated way.
