This Level 2 course will enable you to build on your knowledge of Arabic and increase your confidence in using the language. It will also allow you to further understand the culture of the countries where it is spoken.

The key aim of the course is to extend your language skills in all skill areas (listening, speaking, reading and writing) and improve confidence, with the aim of increasing your ability to understand and communicate in Arabic. Grammar revision will form part of the course to help improve accuracy.
At the end of LFA Arabic Level 2, students will have acquired competence in a range of straightforward language tasks in work and social contexts, and will be able to use a range of language/style to meet the needs of differing situations and topics. The level acquired in each of the four language skills is as follows:

Students will receive feedback on their formative open paper no later than week 3 of term 2. Individual feedback forms convey information on levels of attainment and advice for improvement on each section of the exam: reading comprehension, grammar and writing.
In addition, regular homework tasks provide opportunities for individual ongoing feedback on achievement and progress.
