Module aims

The 15000-20000 word dissertation is expected to demonstrate:

  • The students command of a suitable conservation subject, or art-historical topic with a strong conservation emphasis
  • The students ability to conduct significant, sustained and original research
  • The students ability to organise and engage critically with both primary and secondary sources
  • Intellectual independence
  • An ability to present work with scholarly professionalism
