Module aims
Students will understand how types of evidence underpin nursing care and practice.
Module learning outcomes
By the end of the module, students will be able to:
- Examine how uncertainty in healthcare can be resolved through understanding how different types of information inform evidence based nursing practice.
- Demonstrate the ability to assess methodological limitations of a range of research approaches.
- Demonstrate the ability to use research to help inform decision making.
- Understand a range of factors which can influence decision making in nursing practice.
- Communicate, in a structured and coherent manner, the process and outcome of an evidence-based decision that relates to your nursing practice.
