Module aims

This module will support you to identify your own learning needs and work with an academic coach to develop a learning contract to address these. You will have the opportunity to draw from the Department of Health Sciences portfolio with agreement of your academic coach.

Module learning outcomes

  1. Work independently and autonomously to either create innovative solutions to practice based problems ­or to subject a contentious health-related topic to critical analysis.

  2. Demonstrate strategic thinking as well as operational know how to interpret, analyse and present highly complex data and information related to your identified topic

  3. Demonstrate application of an extensive knowledge of the current health and social care policy relevant to your selected topic or field of practice

  4. Critically analyse influences on professional practice or ideology including research, legislation and governance.
