Professor John Amaechi OBE
Professor John Amaechi OBE is an organisational psychologist and Founder of APS Intelligence.
He founded the consultancy in 2006, which provides coaching, advisory, training and speaking services. John is a Professor of Leadership at the University of Exeter Business School and a Fellow of the Institute of Science and Technology. He is the author of the New York Times and Sunday Times bestselling leadership book, The Promises of Giants.
John is a non-executive director of a FTSE 250 company and was a 10-year director of the UK’s largest healthcare organisation. In 2023, he was awarded the Sport Industry’s Integrity and Impact award. During a successful sports career, John became the first British basketball player in the NBA.
