Chris Bush
Chris Bush is an Olivier Award-winning playwright, lyricist and theatre-maker.
Her work has been produced by organisations such as the National Theatre, Sheffield Theatres, Headlong, Almeida Theatre, Paines Plough, Lyric Hammersmith, Birmingham Rep and the Schaubühne in Berlin. Her musical Standing at the Sky’s Edge won the 2023 Olivier Award for Best New Musical, and is currently playing in London’s West End.
Chris has won an Olivier Award, three UK Theatre Awards, a South Bank Sky Arts Award, a Brit Writers’ Award, the Perfect Pitch Award, Theatre Royal Haymarket Writer’s Award and the Hermitage Major Theater Award. In 2023, she was named by The Stage as one of the 100 most influential people in British theatre.
