Academic Integrity is fundamental to the reputation of individual scholars and the academic institutions. The University of York is committed both to developing high standards of academic practice among its students and to safeguarding the standards of its academic awards by detecting and acting upon cases of academic misconduct.
The Academic Misconduct Policy, guidelines and procedures apply to all programmes leading to awards of the University and should be read in conjunction with the University regulations.
The Policy is the responsibility of the Standing Committee on Assessment, and will be reviewed periodically.
If there are any questions about the policy or its implementation, they should be directed to the Assistant Registrar: Student Progress at academic-misconduct@york.ac.uk.
Students being investigated for academic misconduct are advised to contact York SU Advice and Support.
