- Course: The 6th Migration Summer School 2024 in Thessaloniki focuses on critical humanitarianism and the limitations posed on the migrants’ ability and even ‘right’ in the eyes of the public to express and perform parts of their identity beyond that of refugees or asylum seekers. Framing migration from the purview of human rights challenges this problematic prioritisation of ‘status’ over a more holistic approach of migrants as social entities, allows for social justice, equity and equality to emerge as a great equalizer and aligns with more recent development agendas of national and transnational configurations to firmly embed human rights in their strategies and programmes.
- Who can apply: Applicants must be final year Undergraduate or Postgraduate students or PhD candidates registered on a university course in the field of migration or related Social Sciences (e.g. Law, Psychology, Sociology, Politics, Developmental Studies, Post-colonial Studies, International Political Economy, Communication Studies, Business Studies etc) and be fluent in English. Any other applicant should demonstrate a strong interest in migration related issues in order to be admitted to the programme.
- Application: Apply directly to City College using the Summer School 2024 - Application form
- Application deadline: 15 March 2024
